I bought this to replace an expensive Microsoft X6 Sidewinder backlit gaming laptop because after many years of good service one of the keys was dead. I was impressed by the large dial to turn the volume down but they don't make this version anymore. So I looked for any affordable brand I could find with a palm rest and Dial for the Volume and came across this Azio model with blue backlit keys for a cheap price. Asus appears to sell an identical keyboard with red backlit keys but no palmrest, and I wanted a palmrest as well because I enjoyed the one on my Sidewinder. This Azio Levetron L70 is a little lighter weight than the Sidewinder over all, but functions well, and of course I love the volume dial which is easy to find when a phone call comes in and I have to turn the sound down really fast. Overall, this is a great keyboard.Read full review

I just got this keyboard and after a couple hours let me say I love it -- not only do I love the aesthetics illumination and volume control, I love the way it types. This has to be one of the best budget keyboards out there, even with membrane switches its got a decent tactile feel. Its sold as a gaming keyboard but not sure I would go that far though im sure it would do ok but most gamers want mechanical switches. I bought mine for everyday use and (overall) im very pleased. I have read some reviews that say the paint on the keys flakes off, but then ive read other reviews saying its still perfect after a couple years or so use, but gamers are harder on keys than us more average users so maybe that's a consideration far as longevity. I took a chance on it because it was less than $25 and had mostly great reviews, in fact im buying a second one for my other computer. I really like this keyboard and am glad to have a volume control again. Even if I had to buy another one every couple years or so its cheap enough I can accept that as long as its reliable and not developing other issues. This thing looks great like a higher end board, has low deck flex and a little tip - if you pop certain keys off and lube the upper case buttons, return key, enter key and some others, it becomes smooth as butter. Just a tiny amount of friction in the key wells and some Teflon lube totally made this thing type better than it has a right to. Im sold, the only improvement I could suggest is better key coatings that don't rub off in time, though mines still new and I cant speak to that yet. If youre not a hardcore gamer and want a good reliable everyday illuminated keyboard youd be hard pressed to find a better deal than this one under $25.Read full review

This keyboard is everything you could want for a cheap price. I picked this up to finish my gaming rig setup and am glad i did. It's not flimsy at all and has a good weight. The lighting works well if you going for a blue theme and the keys can be seen with or without it being turned on. At first I was unsure about there being a knob for volume in place of buttons but the feature lets you adjust the volume quickly on the fly. The only issue i can see is the main keypad not being central enough after a few days of use I find my left wrist hanging off the armrest while typing but this could just be an issue for people with larger hands. Having an additional inch on the left would have solved this The board looks nice and the wrist rest is a nice bonus, I'd recommend this to any newcomer on a tight budget if you're not in need of a mouse as well.Read full review

I am not a very good typer, I have to look at the keys I am about to press. My standard keyboard at my dark desk location made it nearly impossible to be efficient, so I ordered the AZIO L70 KB510 keyboard and I love it! There is a nice soft glow lighting up each key, not too bright and not too dim - just perfect. There is a single key that allows me to turn the lighting on/off. The keys are standard sized, crisp and clear markings, and the keys feel good to press. The bonus audio volume knob I didn't think I would use, but I do - it's so convenient and has a good positive feel. This was a great purchase and is indispensable as I work all day at my desk. The lighted keys are a deeper blue than my photo shows, I think my camera compensated for the color somehow.

Item was promptly shipped and packaged well. The keys are a little light feeling but you have to consider the price point. The keyboard itself has some weight to it so it won't slide over the desk surface. It comes with a palm rest that's functional but I don't use it. The volume adjustment knob is a really nice feature and feels solid. The keyboard is back-lit so that's also a great feature to have at this price point. Overall if you're looking for a cheap keyboard with nice features it's a really great value. Time will tell how it holds up but you can't expect a ton from a keyboard that's less than 20 bucks shipped.
