The Shure SE315 are very good ear buds by any standard and I would consider them to be high end. I have owned SE215's for a couple of years and have a couple of pairs so when I wanted to get a new pair I decided to step up. For starters the bass response is where you see the difference compared to most other ear buds and the 215's (to be clear I think the 215's are great). However it comes at a price, the balance of the mid-range and high end are slightly off. It sounds like there is a light blanket on the overall field of depth in those ranges especially around 2k. With that being said the issue is resolved easily. All new generation iPod Classics have a native output EQ. With a little adjustment the headphones meet expectations and all becomes good. - Overall - with a tweak you get excellent bass, clarity, depth of field and wearing comfort. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because I am still up in the air on which set I want to take into the after life, the 315's or the 215's. Who knows maybe there is a set of 500's or Dr.Dre's in the future.Read full review
After some research and comparison with similar products I decided to go with these, and BOY I don't regret my decision. These aren't the boomiest headphones around but then again these are In Ear Monitors used for Live music. I wore them for 10 hours straight to see if I could feel any discomfort and it took just a bit of getting used to but nothing else. Sound wise they are great, deliver great highs and very good lows. The fact that this product is modular is amazing, you no longer have to toss the entire item, simply replace the chord if it becomes damaged, or a single driver (headphone) if that's the case. I would definitely buys these again if I had to.
For about $100, this unit adds both kinds of bluetooth, USB, aux, mp3, and pre-amp outputs to your car's audio . . . it's a fine update for the AM/FM/CD that probably came in the car. On the downside, you'll spend another 20% on a mounting kit, but there's no way around that. I'm very pleased with this unit in a 2006 Mustang GT.

Great middle of the road IEM for a good price. I've only used it on stage once so far (large church setting) and once I dialed in the mix it was pretty awesome.

Originally had the215s which my dog eat so decided to try a step up and the 315s and they have a better audio spectrum so I am very pleased. My guitar actually feels a little warmer.
