Working well for intended use...
So far so good. It's replacing a 2tb WD I use to store my music on and was 92% full. Took about 6 hours to transfer the entire contents of the WD to this one. This one is faster according to specs but don't really care as its meant for storage, not processing. As for reliability? Only time will tell.

The description says new drives. If these drives were new they should be practically silent like all new drives. Every time this would perform a read / write you would here continuous chugging noises from the head going back and forth. With previous drives they were silent and didn't even know they were on and working. With these you will defintely hear them and be disrupted if they are in the same room while you try and watch tv over them. These defect drives are refurbished at best, but definitely not new. Sent back for refund 2 times. The description says new drives. If these drives were new they should be practically silent like all new drives. Does as it is required and mine are 3 yrs old, so they are lasting.
its a basically HDD a big one at that tho, it does its main jobs store lots of data and keep it safe, iv had 2 of there for over 3 years, no problems here. if just lookin for extra storage, pics, games or something that just involves storing that you dont need quick access to bring it back or transfer, its perfect for long term storange. LOVE this store.

AWESOME WL HD
These WL drives feel solid and well built. Mine run quiet and have had no issues. I am running Win10 but I use a seperate program to format and partition my drives so I have had no problems. I am currently running 3 of these in my desktop system. Just recently moved my Win10 system from an old HD to this new WL HD and I have noticed an improvement in speed and the way my system operates now, so maybe I did that just in time, after thinking about it the old HD was probably 10 years old. So I am ordering two more to replace another old HD and also use for my back-ups.
