To be honest, I was a little skeptical when it arrived. I opened the package and at first was thinking I made a mistake purchasing this item. My girlfriend told to put it together before I started criticizing. This unit is very sturdy and well built. Will be purchasing more of this item. Reason for 4 stars is no instructions were included.

I bought 4 of these 5 shelf units. The supplied MDF is 1/4”. consequently, the rated weight for a shelf requires weight be distributed equally. That never happens.Vendor does not sell 1/4” MDF sheets. SoI bought five 1/2” MDF sheets in the correct size & will replace 1/4” MDF on two shelving units. The replaced 1/4” MDF shelves will go on top of the other quarter inch shelves to produce half inch shelves. Now I am confident they will support the rated weight.
