Good product for the price no regrets.
It work right of the box, opened the propane pushed the igniter and off to the races. I was using this torch to burn the grain on doors but I'm sure it would work just as well on torch down roofing.

It's only for occasional use
Comes with a ten foot hose. Also has non standard fittings installed. I wanted to buy or extend the hose I have but can't. That is not an option. If the hose ever fails I will have to buy a brand new unit. Knowing this I would have not bought this unit. Sometimes spending less will cost you more in the long run.

Poor propane pressure control
This torch has a problem of staying lit (second one purchased , same problems). When the handle is squeezed, no matter how quickly or how much , it usually just blows the pilot flame out. Unless the propane tank is just barely opened or very low it is almost impossible to ignite the torch flame. Nice concept but poor design on propane control. Would try with a regulator but don't thing gas volume would be enough.This torch has a problem of staying lit (second one purchased , same problems). Hardly any modulation of flame once lit; press trigger to full flow and gas flow blows out flame. Definite light weight duty, not durable
