The console is cool, the included instructions don’t tell you to take apart the new console to use it. So you’ll kinda will feel like your breaking your new one, but it’s necessary. Flathead screwdriver and about 10 minutes in the sun lol and done. Plus the YouTube video definitely helped with the startup. It is a little tough to close but I’m sure that will fade with the new part smell. 2001 Tahoe console lid
It is easy and simple to swap them out... Just remember you are dealing with plastic and be careful not to brake it... That being said, they are NOT a poor quality item... They seem to be just as durable as the original GM part...

This console lid exceeds my expectations. The fit was perfect, very surprising being an aftermarket part and the quality seems to be really good as the mold and vinyl stitching looks very precise! Why buy the GM one when this one is a fraction of the price!

Really good stock replacement, not perfect though,
The padding is a little shy, and the workmanship on the soft cover is lacking, but it looks just like stock, and its proven itself to be quite sturdy, I weigh over 300lbs and I put my weight on it when I climb in, and it dont give at all, my stock one was cracked from me leaning on it while climbing in the cab. Overall cant beat it for the price.
