I've owned just about every battery powered Ryobi blower from the start, 18v & 40v. Each new model that is released becomes better and better over the previous generation. The blowers are getting lighter, more powerful and quieter! This blower by far is my most favorite out of any of the other Ryobi blowers I had in the past. I was shocked at how whisper quiet it is and at how powerful it is. This is definitely more powerful than the previous model, and even offers a turbo button for extra power! As you can see in the pictures I have last years model and this years model, this years model is slightly short in length, but is beefier and taller. New tube design is much easier to detach over the previous generation too! Brushless motor and turbo button are new features that were not in the previous generation. Still has the variable speed trigger which is a great feature in my opinion. Much larger size fan blade in the rear compared to previous model, which means more powerful air flow, yet so much more quieter over previous model. Worth every penny and you will love how quiet it runs and how powerful it is. You basically can get this updated 2020 model for around the same price as the 2019 version. I own both the 18v and 40v whisper series blowers. I use the 18v for my daily use blowing out the garage, walkway, driveway, porch and deck, and the 40v for blowing large piles of leaves, branches, will even be using it to blow snow off of the car and steps, etc. Both blowers also having the scraping tip on the bottom of the blower tube carried over from last years model, which is used to scrape any stubborn leaves that are stuck to the ground that are not moved away by the blower. This prevents you from having to bend over to pick up the stuck leaves or twigs by hand which is a nice feature especially if you are older and can't bend as good. I highly recommend this blower, you can still have a conversation with someone while leaf blowing which is pretty impressive, no need for ear plugs with this blower. And I would say this is just as powerful as a gas blower. We are using a 4ah battery with this blower, and after using the battery for about 30 minutes straight blowing off driveway, front walkway, porch, rear deck, two car garage, shed, and front and rear steps and landings, the battery level was only down by 1 bar. And this was even with using turbo mode for a very few short times in certain areas. I can't wait to see what Ryobi has in store for next year's model and how they can improve even more in the new model for next year.Read full review

So, it works. You know, you push the button and it blows stuff around, but the performance is not as good as I expected. It has a turbo button, and without the turbo button it's absolutely useless. You have to use it in turbo mode to get even marginally acceptable performance. It will blow grass off of your sidewalk, it will blow leaves around, it's just not impressive.

Light, quiet and a very effective flat surface cleaning tool. Don't try to use in the yard on grass for leaves as it doesn't have THAT much power, but it's great for cleaning porches of dry debris, concrete in garages and other such surfaces

This was a very good value for the price for "open box" cordless, leaf blower. It's light and easy to carry around. I saved about $100 from the Home Depot price.

I have the older 100/280cfm 18v unit, this newer unit appears on paper to be better. Honestly even with turbo seems about the same and that's being generous. It is much quieter
