I previously owned a Very similar unit but it had a vertical pole with hand grips on it. I used it for about 4 years then gave it to my Niece and she used it for over 2 years. This stepper is just as stable as the other even without the handlebars. It keeps all the pertinent stats as you use it. I'm not totally comfortable with the rubber bands yet but think it is just a matter of time. If you're looking for something to show off to all your friends, this isn't it.
