Title is inaccurate. With the lens that come with this microscope 1000X cannot be achieved. 650X is the maximum.
It is good enough for entry level. It's value for money. However, the 1000X magnification advertised is not accurate. You do get a 25X eyepiece and a 40X objective which apparently should get you 1000X but that is false magnification. The useful magnification of the 40X objective is limited to 650X (0.65 x 1000). 650X magnification is enough for a beginner though. If you want 1000X magnification you need to buy a 100x objective to be used with the 10X eyepiece.It is good enough for entry level. It's value for money.
