The copy works.
Bought to be used as function knife scabbards for knives that fit the original type M8AI scabbards. The originals scabbards are better, but the cost has shot up on them. For my actual use they work well. People that are reenactors of say WWII will find the plastic is too green and the metal is black instead of the packetized gray color. The webbing is nylon instead of canvas. In the first picture you see the leather sheath that I am replacing and below that a real US M8A1 sheath/scabbard and below that the 2 copies that I bought. I was also able to widen the throat a bit to get another knife I have in.
