I'll try to keep this short and sweet. I wasn't familiar with Montrose until they started playing "Rock Candy" on my local classic rock station Fox 102 WMFX in Columbia SC and I really liked the classic metal sound that I grew up with. Vocals, guitars and drums were spot on as the Brits would say. So I bought the CD. I didn't know Sammy Hagar was the lead singer until I got the CD and I have to say I like his vocals much better on the Montrose album than I ever did with VanHalen. I suppose like many others I was just partial to David Lee Roths sound. Anyway, every song on the CD is to my liking and if you love 70's rock sounds you will most likely dig this album.
Good set of songs from the montrose library couldn’t get them all on one cd. Ronnie Montrose a legendary rocker. Some classics on here if you don’t have montrose in your collection you need to add this for sure.
