If you like straight ahead throwback rock I think you'll dig theses guys. While not groundbreaking, they are are a lot of Fun. "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is" has a Early 70's vibe ans is at this point the most well known song as it's been used in several commercials. Overall the Production is better than the Last CD (which was good)and they appear to make better use of the Studio. Influnces range from Ac/DC and the Beatles to BTO and The Stones, The Who and The Kinks and Rip It out has similaritys in the main riff at times to Deep Purple's Speed King. If you like straight up Rock N roll, what's not to like.
This album takes the best elements of bands like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Oasis, and Queen, and combines it into a masterpiece of throwback rock. The lead singer's voice is absolutely perfect for this genre, and virtually every tune here is memorable. None of the tracks are as great as "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" of Jet's debut, but several ("Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is", "Skin And Bones", for example) come close.
it has some very good songs, an it is a cd that you can sit and listen to the whole thing. the only thing I dislike is that there are one or two slower songs i dont really like, but it was a very good cd. i would reccommend it!
Jet - Shine On CD
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
This is "Shine On", Jet's second studio CD following "Get Born" from October 2003. I'm a push over for Beatlesque music, and Jet does it well. Although most of the CD is pretty good, I purchaced it for Bring It On Back, Shine On and All You Have To Do, which makes it a good find.... for me.
