Forgot how good this band was until I took a nice Boogie Woogie rock -n-roll stroll down memory lane with this cd box set ! Start to finish, just great musicianship and earnest playing all around. From the early Bloozy foot stomping to the somewhat poppy later albums, this is a great band, so very happy to hear them again, and have them all in one set ! Whatever permutations of the band members that were there, they cam to play, and play well. Rod Price on lead has to be one of the most unheralded of the best guitarists of the last 40 some years, right up there with Rory Gallagher and Robin Trower, each masters of their craft and different sounds and pursuit of a perfect blues tone. No matter that they don't have more acknowledgement, their many fans are grateful for what they've produced ! And Rod certainly tore it up with the best of them ! R.I.P. Lonesome Dave and Rod Price !Read full review

Foghat was a good rock band back in seventies, with songs like ,I just wanna make love to you and later the hit album "Fool for the City". I really never had time to listen to mot of their albums and now that I have time reflect and listen to the rest of their recordings! It's very interesting to say the least! It seems like three totally different band from the 70s to the 80s as they go thru changes ,to my surprise! With their earlier material being the best! 13 cds which is a deal in itself, but once you get past Their Stone Blue Album ( and a very good album) Foghat takes a drastic change diving into the eighties, not bad but very different! It's worth checking it out. Not like their earlier hits ,but hey they duked it out till the end! If you are any kind of musician or music lover like me it's worth your time, this box set has it all.Read full review

This set has Foghat's first 13 LPs, digitally remastered and, thus, sounding better than ever! The collection has everything except the band's 1994 release, "Return of the Boogie Men." All feature Lonesome Dave. (RIP) Sounding better than ever, this CD set is the perfect gift for any hard core Foghat fan.
