EXCESSIVELY BRIGHT RECORDING on all of the Albums. VERY HARSH, AND FATIGUING. HARD ON THE EARS! Only good for dull ,lifeless inaccurate Audio systems. A HUGE disappointment, out of owning over 1,500 CD's these are some of the ABSOLUTE WORST I have ever encountered. It's really a shame they chose not to produce balanced recordings as a lot of these Albums are filled with excellent material. However if you can't stand to listen to them it's all for not. My best advice is to look elsewhere, and buy each Album individually. Even if you end up paying more in the end, at least you'll be able to listen to the recordings as much as you like, and actually enjoy what you're hearing. I'll test an Import, or two as replacements first before I invest in multiple CD's of B Ö C again. If no decent CD adaptations exist I'll be forced to buy another Turntable, as I owned practically ALL of this material on Vinyl back in the day, (and I simply refuse to live without listening to the Music I enjoy most). Out of which only "Revolution By Night" was substandard in Audio quality from day one, (i got it straight off of the press as they say). "Some Enchanted Evening" has always been one of the ABSOLUTE BEST Live recordings regardless of Genre, but you'd never know it by listing to the one in this set! Funny thing is "Fire Of Unknown Origin" was the VERY FIRST CD I ever owned, and it was one of the VERY FIRST CD's ever released way back in the early 80's along with Supertramp's "Breakfast In America". The version in this set is WORSE than the original, and they've had round about 35 years to work on it. Sad, so sad. If you choose to travel the individual route as I have, and you aren't terribly familiar with the B Ö C Albums in their entirety then I can save you a little time by pointing out the Crème de la crème. "Agents Of Fortune" "Some Enchanted Evening" "Cultösaurus Erectus" "Fire Of Unknown Origin" & "The Revölution by Night" Are hands down their best five Albums, if you don't like any of these Albums then you won't like B Ö C. I personally also enjoy... "Cub Ninja" & "Imaginos" IMMENSELY, as well as several other songs from several other Albums in their catalog but I like B Ö C, and have for decades, (literally). As far as SOLID Albums from cover to cover, with no filler, fluff, or stuffing those are the seven Jewels in B Ö C's crown. By all means buy B Ö C, and LOTS of it, just not the Discs in this specific set. Best of luck in your search, ChazRead full review

These remastered albums sound okay, but compared to the 2013 versions, they are lacking many sound qualities. The 2013 remaster: Fire of Unknown Origin is impossible to find so I settled for the entire collection. I’m not a big fan of their early work, but enjoy 76 through 81 plus all their live stuff. This collection does include a lot of live/rare hard to finds music, two additional CDs (nice).

Being a fan of the group, the Columbia label has released a nice album collection. With the addition of the rarities and live tracks, makes it a great 👍 box set !

Excellent, very complete collection of all of BOC's Sony catalog and some rarities as well. The packages is nicely constructed and artwork is clean. The accompanying booklet is substantial and interesting. A great value!
