Whyever would Tipton's "people" want to keep this in the vault for 10+yrs. is beyond me. Mr. Tipton explains it a bit in the liner notes, but from a listeners' stand point, this is absolutely too valuable to have been sat on all these years. Here, you have the fiery fret work of a guitarist, matched w/the beauty of a renowned bassist, & the power percussions of ,(in my own humble estimation,)one of the finest drummers who ever hit the skins. Tipton, Entwistle&Powell is more than a power house of music. It is a monument to the memories of 2 of Rock's beloved artists who left us too soon & the formidable guitar playing of Tipton. I'm proud to add this to my collection.

When you combine three virtuoso players like Glenn Tipton (Judas Prist), Cozy Powell (Whitesnake and many other groups) and John Entwhistle (The Who), you'd expect the results to be dazzling. Well, on this CD, which featured some of the last recording done by Powell and Entwhistle before their untimely deaths, you get it. Tipton isn't a top of the line singer, but he does a pretty decent job, and his guitar work is top shelf as usual. Entwhistle and Powell are their usual powerhouses on bass and drums. Fans of the Who, Judas Priest and any of the groups Powell banged the skins for will not be disappointed with this CD.
Very good cd. Always good to hear John Entwistle whom I met in 1987 in Winston-Salem, NC.
