This is probably my favorite of the Ulrich Roth (as he was known back then) era of the Scorps. Not surprisingly, this one features the most songs written by him too. His guitar playing just soars. He was very influenced by Hendrix, but even at this point (20-21 years old) he already had his individual style. His vocals don't soar though (they're not very good), but hey! :) This particular CD was digitally remastered in the early '90's and it's somewhat difficult to find. There are some Japanese issues that are more readily available, and even though I haven't heard them, I thoroughly enjoy the sound on this one. It doesn't pop up that often. If you're not necessarily a Scorpions fan, but are a fan of guitar playing, you won't be disappointed with this one. Don't expect songs like Rock You Like A Hurricane though. Cd is brand new, but the jewel case did come cracked. However, the case still functions. ( It could have been a shipping issue ).
