SORRY TO ALL METALLICA HATERS!! I HAVE LISTENED TO THIS 3-CD SET ABOUT 100 TIMES. I AM OLD SCHOOL, AND BOUGHT IT MAINLY FOR DISC #3. DID YOU NOTICE, 4 OF THEIR OLD SONGS WERE CO-WROTE BY DAVE MUSTAINE? YES, HE WAS WITH THE ORIGINAL BAND. I LOVE EVERY SONG ON DISC 3. WHO WOULDN'T, MOST ARE FROM FIRST 2 ALBUMS- KILL 'EM ALL, AND RIDE THE LIGHTNING!! THEY PROVED THEY CAN STILL DO IT, OLD SCHOOL. THEN I LISTENED TO DISC 1, AND 2. I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EARS. MOST OF THEIR ALBUMS HAVE 2, OR 3 HITS, THEN MOSTLY FILLER SONGS. AFTER 100 TRIES, I STILL CAN'T FIND THE FILLER SONGS!! I GUESS THE WORST 2 ARE, AM I SAVAGE, AND MANUNKIND, BUT I LIKE THEM BOTH. DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I'M SAYING? IN MY OPINION, THIS IS METALLICA'S BEST EVER!! YES, I SAID IT. I'VE WAITED 25 YEARS FOR THIS. THANKS FOR TAKING YOUR TIME ON THIS ONE. JAMES STILL HAS A SENSE OF HUMOR. I ALWAYS BURN MY CD'S FOR MY CAR. THE FIRST 2 FIT ON 1 DISC, BUT DISC 3, IT WAS 3 SECONDS SHORT OF FITTING, VERY FUNNY. HERE'S SOME FREE ADVICE JAMES- YOU STARTED WITH 2 GREAT ALBUMS. THIS ONE IS GREAT, HOW ABOUT YOU GET DAVE BACK, MAYBE BRING HIS DRUMMER (2 SOUNDS GREAT) AND GO OUT IN STYLE. 3,OR 4 NEW SONGS, 10 OF MEGADEATH'S BEST, AND 20 OF METALLICA'S BEST. What happened to returning to the roots Metallica? A couple of thrash tracks which were all the ones released on YouTube with the exception of one really good song"Spit out the bone". The majority of the album sounds like load and reload. I've been waiting since I was a teenager for a come back from this band. I guess I'll have to keep waiting till they die and be disappointed and die myself. I'm 35 now. Thanks for the huge disappointment Metallica. Well I guess I can congratulate Dave Mustaine on wiping the floor with Metallica and there overpriced waste of plastic. Congrats to Anthrax as well because they did even better! Metallica is washed up and should quit. I know I will get attacked by Metallica's drones that would like the album if Metallica f*rted into a mic. Oh well. Sorry but you can't force me to like this pile of junk! 8 years for this. There age is not an excuse. Your age doesn't stop you from playing good music.
