While the early 1980's were a time for new wave bands to carve-out their niche on the fledgling MTV (which used to run music videos 24/7, if you can believe that!), there were some classic rockers who emerged from the 1970's and exploded onto the rock scene in the early '80's. Billy Squier is one such rocker. His album "Don't Say No" was simply huge in 1981-82. Featuring rockers like "My Kinda Lover," "In the Dark" and "Loneley Is the Night," Squier echoed the recently concluded classic rock era of the Zeppelin-dominated 1970's. Although the album is probably best known for "The Stroke," I think songs like "Too Daze Gone" are far more pleasing to the ear than the borderline homo-erotic paen to masturbation. There's a lot of good music here to listen to which makes this CD a steal for the $5 and under you can invest on eBay or Half.com to get yourself a copy.Read full review
The main reason I got this is CD was for the song Lonely is the Night, in which the song has inside joke that was the best song Led Zeppelin recorded.

This is a great addition if you like Billy Squier. I have the vinyl that I have had since the 80s and wanted the CD so I could add it easily to my digital library.

It's just basic rock and roll, no frills, no overdubbing, guitars, drums, and bass, plus Billy is one cool dude!

Any teenager from the region had his, and all The Cars albums. This is Billy's best, love every song!
