The Essential REO Speedwagon is a great set which essentially combines the two Decade albums into one collection. The first disc is outstanding and shows the band prior to breaking it big with the "High Fidelity" album. It shows REO was more than a ballad band. The first half of the second disc is excellent as well, but the material begins to suffer later in the disc (heavy on ballads and slower-tempo numbers). Overall, an excellent overview of a classic rock favorite.
