I'm a little biased, because Alice is my lifelong favorite performer, but these two albums are amoung his best works ever. And the amazing thing is they form a common theme, along with 1994's "The Last Temptation" as concept albums. Brutal Planet looks at a future world that is shell-shocked with few remaining inhabitants. Dragontown is a trip to literal hell. And both have an underlying Christian message of: "You don't wanna go there". I'm not kidding. Alice's father was a Methodist preacher, and I feel Alice is tying to get a message out to kids who may have never gone to church like he did...but it's a subtle message, and these songs all ROCK. I promise you if you like classic hard rock, either or both of these CD's...after a couple of careful listenings, will put you on the Cooper 'bandwagon' for good, just like I jumped on back in 1976. Of course, I'm a little ahead of my time too though!Read full review
I promise my boyfriend I would get it for him and he greatly appreciated it.

This is a very underrated release from Alice and should have received more recognition. It is from his later and heavier period. Features catchy riffs and in some cases dark lyrics. I must have for AC fans!
