Jesse James Dupree and the boys that make up Jackyl continue to prove, time and time again that down-n-dirty blue collar hard rock is just plain fun to play and listen too! This is a fun, politically incorrect and loud, brass 12 song cd. If you like the bands past material or if your a fan of heavy music and love the twist of Southern rock charm and feel then your gonna dig this newest release. All the songs range from good to great but my personal favorite is the cover of the classic Janis Joplin tune "Mercedes Benz". In fact, after hearing Jesse's intro. to the short song I had to dust off my old Janis material to remember something that at first I'd forgotten about the song...in the beginning she (and he) really did say "This is a song of great social and political import." I find it cool that Jesse chose to replicate Joplin's true, original spoken words that way, he could have easily just left that off, but he didn't. It's cool little details like that (and the fact that they were the first band ever to use a chainsaw as a musical instrument on a popular rock n roll release) that keeps this bands fans always coming back for more. Buy it, put it in, crank it up and enjoy!Read full review
Being a Jackyl fan for many years and seeing them numerous times, it was great to see them release another album in 2010. With the number of newer bands to enjoy, it's great to see the old guys still kickin' and rockin'!
