I can't believe that I'm the first to review this album, it ROCKS! This album came out when the world was coming down from a Led Zeppelin high, and this CD filled the void, pretty well I think. The song "Get It On" recieved plenty of air play in Houston. The songs sound as if they could have been penned by Page and Plant, and the sound is there as well. My favorite tracks: 1. Living Out Of Touch 4. 17 5. The Shuffle 6. Get It On 10. Shout It Out
When Kingdom Come released this self titled work of art my friends and I all thought we were witnessing the next Led Zeppelin forming. This release had such a unique way of evoking Mid-1970's Led Zeppelin comparisons that it was uncanny. The vocals and the way the songs were arranged really gives you a feel of great classic rock. A steady beat, and outstanding bass and lead guitar completes the unique sound that has stood the test of time. It's really too bad that this release ended up being (by far) the most popular and best selling from the band. They went on to write, and release many more outstanding albums but this one really stood out as their best ever!
Great singer, musicians and songs. Heavily influenced by Zeppelin even though back then they didn't want to admit it.

kingdom come blatently ripped of one the greatest bands of all time, you know it...led zeppelin, every band borrows a bit here and there, even zeppelin borrowed from the blues artists... kingdom come sound is a zerox copy of zeppelin..john bonhams huge drum sound, robert plants high wailing, jimmy pages riffing...matter of fact the hit song "get it on" sounds alot like kashmir .. a fiew songs are catchy...they used zeppelins sound on this cd, then crapped out on all their other cds because "the novelty wore off". garbage- thumbs down
