This BMG France release of "Desolation Boulevard" has several noteable differences from the American release of the album of the same name. One is that the two releases have a dissimilar list of songs, about two or three. Another is that the American release has a version of "Fox on the run" that opens with guitar and synthesizer (the version that I have heard for years), but this French release has a real heavy guitar driven version, which I think sounds better. The French release also has two bonus tracks not found on the American release. I had purchased the CD mostly to hear "Fox on the run", one of my favorite songs of the mid 70's. I was surprised to hear this version, but it sounds real good and I am glad that I bought it. Check it out.
