I've got a few of Robert Plant's solo and collaboration CD's, and some, to be honest, are not as good as they could be, given what we know he can do. This CD though is brilliant in my view, varied, interesting, well written, fantastic musicianship from top quality performers. He seems to have found a way of making truly great records again, that continued in his subsequent recordings with much the same group of musicians.

Whilst nothing can replace the original group this CD by far comes closest. I have been a great fan for many years and thought that even with the couple of re-unions had come and went. However, I completely missed this when it was released in 2005 and have only now found it thanks to Sky Arts and a Robert Plant and The Strange Sensation concert they were screening, which I just happened upon. I was bowled over. Brilliant sound, excellent songs and could have been the next Led Zeppelin album? Die Hards might disagree but we are never going to see the original band again. I am grateful that the flame still flickers on. Strongly recommended.
