Even though this CD is a re-issue with a bonus track, it is great. Mercury's distinctive voice comes through as always. "Another One Bites the Dust" and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" are my two main favourites, which is another reason that I like the album. The bonus track of the '91 remix of "Dragon Attack" is different than the original version, which is also on this CD. It has been skillfully remixed by R.A.K. and Jack Benson. A song that stands out, just with the lyrics, is "Don't Try Suicide". The original came out in '80 and the songs have stood the test of time... even after 28 years, the songs are a true testament to time and still played on some radio stations. Even though Mercury is gone, the songs and albums/CDs will still live on for those of us that remember Queen before his death. If you've only heard Queen with George Michael, then I think you would benefit from the originals. With this album, Queen re-invented their style to be up with the '80s. The songs are different from what they did in the '70s with "Bohemian Rhapsody"... they are more rock than rock-opera, which is the same thing that ELO (Electric Light Orchestra) used to be. It works for them and it definitely works for the fans.Read full review
An immensely popular record, The Game was their first (and only) disc to reach #1 in the US. It was also their first to feature a synthesizer and their first to contain no anthem-style songs. Decidedly more "pop" than previous albums, it still shines brightly due to the infectious tunes that will not leave you alone! Featuring FIVE HITS, this synth album ties 'News of the World' for best-selling Queen album (4x Platinum!). My favorite tracks (in order) are "Crazy Little Thing Called Love", "Rock It (Prime Jime)", "Dragon Attack", "Another One Bites The Dust", "Need Your Loving Tonight". A great disc for Queen fans showing a turn in the road. I bought it because my original vinyl wore out..very pleased with this disc.
when this recording came out on 8 track and tape it rocked songs like play the game , crazy little thing called love . my favrite dragon attack .91 remix is not bad to . this recording came out before compact disc came out, before 1983 .the 91 reissue of 1980 recording sounds real good . worth checking out.
The Game is an excellent cd. It has some of my favorite songs on it. Play the game is an excellent song. I am definitely a queen fan, and this cd made me even more of a queen fan. Overall an excellent buy.
