This is supposedly the era that Rush were at their most progressive and keyboards were pushing Alex Lifeson into the background. It doesn't seem that way to me. Yes,there are progressive elements and keyboards do feature but not to the detriment of the well established Rush qualities. All contributions are good but the rhythm section is phenominal. Geddy Lee's vocals are a bit lower than previous - suits me more. The songs are good with weighty lyrics and Red Sector A is terrific. This will be on repeat play in my car for quite a while.
Already own the album, now bought the CD to play in the car. In my opinion the BEST Rush album of all time. Still absolutely Love RED SECTOR A. Give this album a play i,m sure you will like it if you like Prog Rock
All the tracks on this c.d. are excellent..am a big fan. Distant Early Warning comes crashing in from the beginning.. Afterimage is a brilliant track. A Rush album you can't fault. A*****
