REASON FOR PURCHASE? Had to buy this album without question because I'm a huge fan of Steve Vai and have ALL of his albums but no compilations. I was curious how Steve Vai's new stuff sounded in comparison to his older stuff. Quite the same. :) LIKES? This album has absolutely incredible musicianship, sounds, intricacy, rhythms, and melodies. The obvious thing it has is...STEVE VAI'S AMAZING GUITAR PLAYING. DISLIKES? I have none. Overall, 5 out of 5, definitely. Buy this NOW if you don't already have it. You will thank yourself for doing so. That is a promise. Worth every penny. Good luck to everybody.
This album really streatchs the envolope into the spacey, quirky world of Steve Vai. I believe he was getting back to his Frank Zappa roots in a way on this one. Alot of strangly wonderful sounds & songs here. He sings on a few of these too. You can always count on that funky Vai vibe. Gotta love it. ENJOY!!!
