Ritchie made a good decision when he hired a complete unknown as his lead singer (David Coverdale). Not only is the song writing great and of course Richire's guitar work (probably one of his best) but, also the singing talents of Glen Hughes. This w...as definitely a rebirth of Deep Purple but, unfortunately the next album (Stormbringer, although it had some high ponits) was a sign of Ritchie getting tired of the band. Magic guitar solo's Ritchie Blackmore You'll hear in this CD if you buy it..Burn very best.enjoy it
Sparkling first album by Deep Purple Mk 3. A more funky/blues feel compared to the previous line-up with John Lord and Ritchie Blackmore on top of their games. The dual lead vocals of David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes work well and Ian Paice is as solid as usual.
