Gun -Album Swagger is better than the usual/current run of the mill post 2000's rock albums. If you are into 90's Rock it's a must for your collection. This album show that this band have talented with a few differing styles to song writing but still rock. No Jazz here. A well produced album

Scottish Rockers Gun really pulled out all the stops with this 1994 release. Swagger is a classic Rock album. All the trax kick with a commercial edge and blend stomping anthems with emotive ballads. THe big hit from the album was their take on Cameo's Word Up, which they made their own but looking further past the chart hit their are a wealth of gems to be found here. Stand in line, Find my way, Don't say it's over are relentless in their attack, whereas Something worthwhile is a rap orientated rocker with a sleazy groove. Fancy a chillout?... The Only One fits the bill. Strangely there are similarities to songs by other artists(mainly in the vocal melodies).eg Seems I'm losing you is reminiscent of Blondie's Union City Blue and Find my way draws heavily from Panic in Detroit by Bowie. However, this is not intended as a criticism. Fans of commercial rock like Bon Jovi should add this cd to their collection post haste. Great stuff,pity Gun ain't round anymore. I bought this as haven't listened to it in ages because I have it on tape.So with the news of them getting back together this year, I needed to hear the great songs such as Don't Say Its Over, The Only One, Stand In Line and Seems Like I'm Losing You.I think its not quite as good as the Gallus album but still a top class rock cd.
this band certainly give value for money some of their songs are great 'word up' is better than the original track also 'the only one' is a great track i came across this band by accident & have now got all there cd's they really do rock buy this stick it in the car & head on down the motorway for a burn out buy this for word up alone it's a great track & you will not regret it
