This is my favorite CD by her. I have been a loyal fan of hers since 1979. This cd truely show cases her talent. Another recommendation is True love, her jazz/blues cd. She is even better in concert. If you ever get the opportunity *and have cable service* see if you can watch her CMT Crossroads performance with Martina McBride! Independence Day will knock you off your feet and bring a chill to your spine. Still, by far a solid classic performer~ Never disappointing.
Right from the start it captivates you with outstanding guitar mixxing. Pat still has the voice, a little raspier than when in her youth, but still she belts them out. It is far off the track from her usual style, almost having a country sound to it, without the country... It was like hearing her all over again but with a new vibrant sound. I am overjoyed that I chose to invest in this CD! Mike
I really liked this CD and would recommend it to any Pat Benatar Fans!!! Niel is awsome with the guitar on so many of the songs. I bought this CD because I didn't have this one and wanted to complete my collection.
