Find Your Own Way Home is the fifteenth studio album by REO Speedwagon. It was released in 2007 by Speedwagon Recordings and Mailboat Records, eleven years after the band's previous studio album, Building the Bridge. The album found the band returning to its trademark hard rock sound after the soft ballads of Bridge. Though the album did not chart, it did produce the minor hit "I Needed to Fall", which peaked at #25 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. "Smilin' in the End" was released at the same time as "I Needed to Fall" to classic rock stations, but did not chart. The third single from the album, the title track, reached #23 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary Chart.
Are these guys still the hit making juggernaut they were in their glory days of the early to mid 80's? Definitely not. Are they still the all out butt kicking rockers they were in the raucous 70's. Not quite. Are they still able to produce a good cd of enjoyable rock and roll. You better believe it! This cd is a good combo of the ballads you would expect if you knew nothing of REO Speedwagon besides their classic hits, and up tempo rockers their legion of fans have known and loved for decades now. Sure if you go see them live they still rely heavily on their old classic standards but with this cd they prove they can still write good rock and roll music.
I loved the effort REO Speedwagon and all its members put into this. Its got good rocking numbewrs and even the ballads dont leave you dissapointed. At first I only wanted one song, and then I listened to what the other songs had to say... Wow. "I needed to fall" is the best ballad on the album and "Born to Love you" rocks out. "Everything you feel" has an awesome almost one minute long guitar solo making you feel proud to listen to this album. Dave Amato (although he's NO Richrath) does his job well as lead guitarist. This album will bring you a respect and almost a love of the new memebers. Rock on REO Speedwagon. Buy this album you won't be dissapointed... Especially if you buy this for 4 or 5 bucks!!!
Classic rock from a rolling band at there best ! 🤘
