I've loved CREED since the early 90's. But this is a little more abstract and almost like the Red Hot Chili Peppers and not enough religious overtones. They caught my attention as a religious rock group, and then ventured further to the rock genre, but I saw them in concert at the Roundhouse in Savannah, Ga., when they did their My Own prison cuts and it was FANTASTIC!

For this talented band, only 3 stars, not that this isn't a good CD but some fans might be a bit disappointed. This sounds more like modern rock than the grunge that they came from, whether they caught up with the times or the times caught up with what they started. The production is good but there's no hits that grab you. Overcome is easily the best song. Most songs are mid-tempo rockers, with less variety than fans would be hoping for. The songs are safe and predictable, something that those familiar with the band won't be impress with, though the CD is still decent. Sounds more like Alter Bridge than old school Creed. The lyrics are not that insightful, more middle aged angst than the teenage angst so many used to identify with. I found songs like Good Fight more annoying than encouraging. The lyrics are of longing, but moreso for old flames than for the spiritual as with other releases. Sure, they are back, but are they really back? Remains to be seen.Read full review
3 stars outta 5. I was excited to hear that Creed was releasing a new cd, especially when I noticed it's title was "Full Circle". Now with hopeful thinking in my mind, I was wishing that the title meant that the re-united band was going to release something along the same feel as their first work (and only one which I thought every song was excellent) "My Own Prison". Boy was I wrong! This is a new direction, and it sounds like nothing they've done before, although it does have that trademark Creed feel to it. Unfortunately nothing really stands out, and I only really liked 3 songs enough to put them on my hard drive to load them on my MP3 player (out of 12 tracks thats a pretty poor showing for a new cd in my opinion). One of the things that bugs me the most about this new release is all the distortion effects that were produced into Mark Tremonti's guitar work. In my opinion, when you have a guitarist as good as he's proven to be, why muddle the sound like this? Scott's vocals are just as good as ever, but the lyrics really don't grab you like some of the previous material by the band, most of this cd is, well, average...and that's why its only a 3 star for me. I'm not saying don't buy it, but be careful, if your like me and was hoping for the old sound, then you may be disappointed too. If you like distorted guitar work then heck, you may actually really like this title...the only way to know for yourself is to check it out for yourself. Enjoy!Read full review
The Creed cd "Full Circle" is excellent! My 16 year old bought the cd, and she loves it. She has all 3 previous cds from Creed, and it is one of her top cds. Love all the songs! I even listened to the cd, and I loved it as well. Very meaniful songs. Great cd for all ages.
This band is definetely my # 1 band!! The lead singer Scott his voice is so deep that makes the music just awesome!! This is a great return from them since they fell apart for several years but now they're back with great music and this album is just great~~
