I bought this CD on eBay...again...because I played the first one so much I must have worn it out! Ms Brightman's exquisite vocal and stylistic range is wonderfully evident in this 1998 CD, Eden. Two tracks in particular stand out for me: #7, Il Mio Cuore Va--her take on the Titanic love theme and #15, her bravura performance of Nessun Dorma. Then there is the incredible lyricism of #9, Un Jour Il Viendra, and...etc. etc. As Ms. Brightman jumps between English, Italian, Opera and Pop, it never distracts but instead showcases her elegant talent, and to hear her shift from one note, seamlessly and seemingly effortlessly, to the octave above, is positively thrilling! This is a CD to savor, over and over.
Those familiar with Sarah Brightman's musical style will thoroughly enjoy this cd. She combines, as always, her pure vocal skills with wonderful music. Sarah's love for melody shines through as she brings glorious sounds to life. She can sound heart-wrenchingly sad, romantic, mysterious or triumphant. Each track is perfect in itself and combines into a feast of musical pleasure. She can change your entire mood with her voice. The magic of Sarah Brightman is that whether she is singing in English, French, Italian or Latin you don't have to understand the words to completely understand the song. If this will be your first introduction to Sarah's music or you are already a confirmed fan, I think Eden may well become the favorite of your collection, as it is mine!
I love Sarah Brightman and her angelic voice . I would highly recommend this album.
