Never would I stop to write a review!! But then never had I had an oppertunity like this before. What oppertunity? One to listen to one of my favorite all time bands play. And since it's lead singer died in a 1977 plane crash,.. view him sing!! Ronnie Van Zant is said to have been the heart and soul of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Band,.... and there's no doubt,.. he was. This CD/DVD package contains a video, a show broadcasted in England in 1975. The band was "signed" in 1973,.. the infamous plane crash was in 1977. This recording was done right before they added Steve Gaines to their, what became their three guitar attack line-up. (Ed King had just left the band leaving just two guitars,.. Allen Collins and Gary Rossington) The CD, "Gimme Back MY Bullets" contains the original tracks and some added features. This package is a MUST!!!!!!!!! previosly unavailable DVD now has been re-mastered and released, maybe some of the best footage of them ever. Recorded on a Euro TV show called "Olde Grey Whistle Test" in '75 in front of a live audience but seldom seen on American TV, this crystal clear footage of them performing always strikes up a conversation about memories of the band at they're peak before the crash, you'll find yourself watching it over and over again, seeing a smile or look of one of the band members. Artimus Pyle is on drums here and only dual guitars [Rossington/Collins] not the triple trademark sound we all know and love. Great sound and clean footage from that era. As always Ronnie is barefooted on stage. Great music but not the best sound. The deluxe edition is better than the original but still muddy. Of skynyrd’s first 6 albums this is my least favorite because of the sound quality. I’m still looking for a better version. Great songs but production doesn’t do them justice - a few of the songs on Gold & Platinum are so much clearer.

Sound quality of CD is very good. DVD is a nice added bonus. The sound quality of the DVD is acceptable but not as good as the CD, as it was recorded in Mono and off a radio station's equipment. Nice extra, though.

I love this 30th anniversary edition for the dvd included.It has all the original members performing before a studio audience for The Old Grey Whistle Test series,2 years before the tragic plane crash.Also,the remastered album sounds AWESOME. FRAN
