Well worth the money
I had heard this CD once before, about two years ago. It has stuck in my mind ever since. When I first looked at the song list, I thought it was just another CD full of covered songs from other artists. In truth - it is. But it is so well done that it stands out from others like it. When you listen to it you can understand where the title comes from. These are the songs that influenced Tommy Shaw and Jack Blades as they matured into artists. After listening to it I realized that I could actually pick out certain songs from Styx that showed the influences gained from the songs on this disc. If you like Styx or just like music from the 70's, then this is a disc you will want to own. I highly recommend it.

Be Careful Shaw/Blades Will Cut
This is absolutely one of the best, unknown (at least by me), rock star pairings of the decade. I am a fan of both Tommy Shaw and Jack Blades from the days they were with Styx and Night Ranger. As I got older and found myself not listening to music as much, I lost touch with the work the rockers from the 80's were doing. Then I ran across this CD. I was very happy after hearing for the first time. These are two very talented men who like a lot of other musicians today don't get the air time or promotion they deserve. This is a must have for any rock fan!

Classic Rock Done Right
Tommy and Jack have done these classic rock songs justice. Their take on the Simon and Garfunkel's I Am A Rock is worthy of radio play for sure. Tommy's guitar play is assume and vocals by both makes the album worth continues play. Strongly recommend this album for everyone.
