If you are new to Evergrey & you hear any 1 of their albums you might think they are 1 form of metal but they tend to cross another musical boundary as each album is released. They are considered "progressive" more than anything, but they also sometimes sound like a power metal band & even a thrash band (first few albums.) On this album they return to more of their progressive side (the album before sounded power metalish) & they show that they can do just about anything. I just continue to be amazed at how a band like Evergrey continues to put out quality music each & EVERY time! Not only is each CD heavy (especially the first few albums) but each one is well produced & you experience everything from heavy crushing music to the most calming & beautiful music to hit the ears. I know I was supposed to review this album in detail but I rambled long enough, so I will say if you are looking for a great progressive album then this one is worth every penny; but I wouldn't hesitate to try every album from this band if you are a well rounded metal-head!Read full review
I love the album. The concept is great between a man fighting religion, and joining a cult in search for truth. Very good album with great riffs, and killer solos!
