Digitally remastered deluxe two CD edition. Passion And Warfare is the second studio album by guitarist Steve Vai, released in September 1990. It was written based on a series of dream sequences that Vai had when he was younger. Commemorating the 25th anniversary of Passion And Warfare comes this special edition of the album which includes the first-ever release of Vai's Modern Primitive songs and recordings. Based on song sketches and works-in-progress penned, and recorded, by Vai following the release of Flex-Able, the artist's debut album, in January 1984, the music on Modern Primitive has been completed by Steve for release as a full album bonus disc in the Passion And Warfare 25th Anniversary Edition.

Originality meets awesome
This is an excellent CD set. Modern Primitive is just another bunch of incredible songs by Steve where he showcases his originality and signature guitar style. Passion and Warfare is always a great disk that never goes out of style, so the two fused together in this set is well worth the listen.
