If you grew up with classic rock, and want some newer music with that style, John Elefante is making it. Just another good work from him. I'm getting anything he's made.

John Elefante, the voice of "Vinyl Confessions" and "Drastic Measures" era Kansas as well as late 1980's band Mastedon, returns for his third solo release. It is a sweeping and majestic work that exhibits elements of progressive rock and pop, which is masterfully written and produced. Yet, what sets this CD apart from his previous solo works ("Windows of Heaven" and "Corridors") is the intensity of emotion and the intimacy this music invokes. As Elefante's vocals soar over the arrangements, there is truly a sense of "defying gravity" -- of being drawn away not simply into the music, but into the music's source and inspiration, which is the very heart of God. That being said, this music is "Christian," but will appeal to a much larger audience. Those who enjoy the music of Kansas and Journey will find much to appreciate here as will those who enjoy Mike and the Mechanics. Poignant lyrics, lush musical landscapes, and memorable melodies abound! "Defying Gravity" is music I never tire of listening too! Enjoy.Read full review
When I saw the movie 'Tribulation', the song 'If you just believe' was at the ending. I am a die hard rocker, so when I started listening to christian rock, I am big on guitars and solid rhythms. This ballad was awesome. The only reason I gave a 4 of 5 is the rest of the album is toned down but still excellent music. His brother, Dino, helped him with this album and it is truly a joy to listen to. I recommend it to anyone who loves the Lord and rock music. It was definitely worth my time and effort.
it's one of my favorites
