It's a rare treat when you can learn something entirely new about something you think you already know well. This presentation reminds me of the old show “Behind the Music,” because it leads the viewer through the founding steps that resulted in one of the truly great groups of the 1970's. Kansas was so incredibly talented musically but took some time to fully flower onto the pop charts. This program highlights the patience and vision of legendary music producers Don Kirschner and his right hand man Wally Gold in supporting the band until they finally found the success both knew they were capable of. Band members describe the early days of working small clubs and traveling on the bus. If you were ever involved in a garage band you will instantly relate to their stories and anecdotes. The most amazing thing in this entire program is how humble the band members all are. 40 years after their first album was released they still call each other friends. Well worth the few dollars it cost and every second it took to watch you won't be disappointed.Read full review

One of my favorite bands of the 1970's and of all time. Saw them twice, once in 1979, and again in 2016. They sounded equally as good in 2016 as they did in 1979. Enjoyed this documentary very much.
