I used to have this on cassette back in the day. High point for Savatage in my opinion. They morphed into the juggernaut known as Trans-Siberian Orchestra, which you can hear the roots of here with more emphasis on metal/hard rock side and less on the classical music side of things.

This one is a must have for any fan of Classic/Progressive/ Thrash metal.In my humble opinion it's there best album although just about anything they released was good stuff, especially the older releases. If your a big metal head check it out, you won't be disappointed!

Savatage one of the 80's promising metal bands to arise in that era. Hall of The Mountain King is a great metal album full of pure heavy guitar riffs and solo's from axeman Criss Oliva brother of lead vocalist Jon Oliva both together make Savatage. Self title is one of many great songs along with 24 Hours ago, and the ballad strange wings just these few songs is worth giving them a chance, if you love bands like early Van Halen, Yngwie Malsteen, or Queensrÿch. Hall of The Mountain King is one of many Savatage awesome albums since their early days..................The Beast666

I listen to a lot of late 80's early 90's rock/metal. I had bought this album years ago on cassette and listened to it probably a hundred times since and when I finally found it on CD it was an instant purchase. This is a must have CD for any Savatage fan.
