Big L is the missing link between Jay-Z and Eminem. I was impressed by this Album, just to listen and hear big L tell life like it is. And theres still a sense of humor here. Not to mention Big L's word play is second to none. If u hate the rap they play on the radio, buy this CD. This isn't party dance music, its real hip-hop. Its a shame Big L died before he became the legend he is today, but trust me, this CD is well worth 16$..
I, Remember growing up in the NYC and always hearing about Lamont "BIG L" Coleman as one of the best. Yet I never heard any of his CD's until after his death in 2001(RIP)This first Cd he brought out is a classic. From the first song you hear the lyrical genious he was. Quick flow, witty, funny , yet streetwise, his uncanny abilitility to picture the street life like if you were there yourself makes him one of the best rappers ever and truly the greatest rapper unknown.
What to say about this album? Probably the best MC ever grabbed the mic.. His first LP was too underated when it was published.. But today, it is widly considered as one of the best albums in the Hip Hop scene.. An absolut must for all the hip hop fans out there!
