First Album of the QOTSA.What can I say about it? it's already a Top Master Class one :).All the elements that define their sound are on it,and those who throw the basics of their current popularity since .This band has been huger and huger these day ...Josh is the man( translated in French that means ...Homme :D ) ...Keep on writing such amazing music,Monsieur Josh !!!!!
This album is great, you can definitely see how it all got started and how QOTSA has grown over their career. My faves include Avon and You Would Know. Both are great tracks that have those great guitar riffs that vibrate through you. All in all, its a great CD to own. That is if you're lucky enough to catch one of them since so few were produced!!!
I'm very happy with my purchase

This CD is amazing. Honestly, I think that this CD is the best rock album that came out in 1998. The best way I can describe the music is harmonic, fuzzy, heavy, pretty and melodic all at the same time. Im not a huge QOTSA fan, but this album is good. The only way to understand is to listen. so go out and search because its out of print.
If you're a fan, get it. The entire album is great, but especially "Avon", "You Would Know", and "Mexicola". Something in the vein of Songs for the Deaf, but mellower, sludgier. Better than Rated R and Lullabies to Paralyze, but nothing can top Songs for the Deaf.
