One of DIO's best efforts. For whatever reason this CD doesnt get the love it should. On this CD DIO sings with an edge not like any of his other CD's. It may have a little bit of the Dehumanizer sound but it stands on its own. Tracy G on guitar brings a new fresh sound and all the tracks sound great. Some of my favorite tracks are: Jesus, Mary & The Holy Ghost Strange Highways Evilution Hollywood Black Give Her The Gun This CD is OOP, get your hands on a used copy. It is a must have in your DIO collection.
By far VERY under-rated!! If you’re a DIO fan, this album deserves at least 5-6 spins as you drive, work or enjoy a beer on the deck. It opens strong, but the two songs that make this album truly great are “Strange Highways “ and “Give Her The Gun” with the opening song “Jesus, Mary And The Holy Ghost “ being incredibly DEEP, if you really listen to what DIO is saying lyrically.
