I would give this a rating of 4 out of 5 stars. How wonderful it is to hear a young JACK ELLIOTT playing harmonica and guitar. This was recorded not professional before the days of UNPLUGGED or BOOTLEG series but overall the quality is pleasant enough to be played in coffee shops, offices, or road trips. I love to hear Jack sing out tales like Tom Joad. I'd much rather hear him singing Woody Guthrie songs than listen to the stuff the radio churns out on pop radio. I RECOMMEND this CD to anyone who plays acoustic guitar, sings songs while driving down the road, or romances what it must have been like to be there at GREENWICH VILLAGE in the early 1960's coffee houses.
