Ever heard Whitesnake on steriods?? LOL! Just a nickname for what I've always called Blue Murder. Tony Franklin (bassist from 1985's The Firm with Jimmy Page), Carmine Appice on drums (Vanilla Fudge to Ozzy during Bark at the Moon, and on.......), and the legendary John Sykes singing AND playing lead. This record REALLY shows you that Sykes was the one who wrote ALL the big hits off of Whitesnake's 1987 self titled hit machine. If you recall the story he was quickly let go after one tour. His ability to play and sing simultaneously (lead included) is UNLIKE anyone. GREAT listening for all!!! Now, if you're Learning an instrument? Had someone older refer you here that plays? OR, just love listening to amazing musicians, then ORDER it NOW!!!!

I grew up in the 80's and 90's and am an avid fan of Rock and Metal from that time frame. I decided to buy this CD because I am a very big fan of John Sykes. He has played in such great bands as Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy, and of course his project Blue Murder.
Had this on cassette 20+yrs ago. Solid all around, but Valley of the Kings is very good. Both Out of Love & Jellyroll are GREAT songs !!

There's no doubt that John Sykes after leaving Whitesnake has been achieving success more and more on every record, and prove of that it's this first studio work from 1989. Everyone who wants to begin to listening to John Sykes' projects, I recommend to start listening this first disc to have a mark of reference. You surely love it and all of his works...That's why I decided to buy it. - Mikk D'Wolff -
