'For a musician, there's no real formula for getting loose. Because that's the way that sound works; they're right up there with the pundits and the tromp 'loeil. A tweak too hard, and they're over the line. But the gyrlles from Donnaville have tweaked tighter and still hung onto their music. Cleaner riffs, smoother drumming and some revised and improved nuances of the vocals have likely as not been the result of echoes, reverbs and revisitations of some of their fave tunes. As they depend a lot upon their repertoire. That lets them get introspective about elision, illusion and enunciation that pulls a few stitches instead of layerng on the extra padding that would be that other way of getting tighter. This disc has the best rock n roll party band playing punk rock songs and an awesome motley crue cover that are always fun to listen too.
The Donnas rock. They play real rock and roll. Watch out cause they will ram the rock and roll down your throat before you see it coming!! Best band out there.
