Don't be "fooled" by the so called critics - Slade's Nobody's Fools is one of their best albums - but then we're talking about a band that never made a bad one. Still, many seem to underrate this mid-70s masterpiece because it isn't as hard rocking as some of the band's other albums - but the simple fact is, Slade was awesome whether they were writing brain smashing hard rock or whether they were writing lighter pop songs. They just knew how to do it. The band was at their peak during the this time and so this album belongs in any Slade(or British rock) fan's collection. Not only is this album underrated for its songwriting but also for its production - it's definitely one of their best produced works as well. So if you love their early career music - and you love their later "comeback" career music, don't leave this one out - it's pure Slade all the way.Read full review
