A good effort of Bob Kulick to produce this tribute to Iron Maiden, one of the best classic exponents of the British Metal. Highlights of the CD: -RUN TO THE HILLS, with Robin McAuley and Michael Schenker, the best of the cd. -ACES HIGH, with Jeff Scott Soto and Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme). -CAN I PLAY WITH MADNESS, with Mark Slaughter and Bruce Kulick (Kiss). -THE WICKERMAN, with members of Anthrax and Armored Saint (John Bush, Jeff Duncan and Scott Ian). This songs are performed by powerfull voices singers with no demerit to Bruce Dickinson great voice and performance, besides the solos are great. Regular, not bad: -WASTED YEARS, I like Dee Snider, but this song isn´t fit well. -FLIGHT OF ICARUS, with Tim Owens, good performance but something´s missing. -2 MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT, JLT doesn´t have Dickinson´s potency, but he made a good effort, besides he doesn´t sound so horrible like I read in other´s reviews and the Ritchie Kotzen solo is very good. -THE EVIL THAT MEN DO, with Chris Jericho and Paul Gilbert, regular. -THE TROOPER, if you don´t like Lemmy Kilmister´s voice skip it, but this man with aging voice made a not so bad cover. The Worst: -WRATHCHILD, I never liked Paul Di´Anno with Iron Maiden, so made a cover of himself is worthless. -FEAR OF THE DARK, I don´t like thrash, so I don´t like Chuck Billy´s voice. So if you´re new listening this type of music, you better buy an Iron Maiden cd, nobody beats the originals, but if you´re an Iron Maiden headbanger it´s worth listening this cd. Sorry for my english if I made some faults writing this lines.Read full review
Mandatory Metal for the true Maiden fan. The marvelous “snake oil” of tribute records. While spinning this disc you will swear you’re hearing a great local band performing your metal favorites. Well done!! I still do not understand Paul Dianno attributing himself, but still perceptibly serendipitous. Lemmy, Dee Snyder and Chris Jerico. Great metal vox’s providing the thunderous amplitude needed to parallel Bruce Dickinson's commanding resonance. Better than the classic records where the realm of death metal bands govern the cuts. A world of audible debauchery. This is not the case. Fritter your riches wisely and grab hold of this disc.
Huge Maiden fan Bought this disc and was disappointed in the musical performances. Keep it at the back of the collection
