Having owned this LP originally on vinyl & having the luxury of having an SACD Player, I was excited about the prospect of hearing this in 5.1 digital format. It sounds good, maybe not as good as some other SACD's I've heard (my SACD player displays that this is in fact 5.1). You also have to keep in mind that back in the good old days of vinyl, I was using a Pioneer SX-1250 Receiver which was (& really still is - they still sell for nearly $1000)) pretty much high end audiophile quality equipment. All in all, I am satisfied with the sound quality, I think I just had very high expectations. If you're a GTD fan & you don't have this - GET IT! The SACD is "hybrid" so it will also play in regular CD players as well. Blues Forever!
I first heard "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer" on Philadelphia FM radio in 1977. I own most of the GT/D catalog, but this is still my favorite album of theirs. That's saying something, cause there's some dynamite music throughout that discography. Re the questions to the right of this window; I like everything about this CD and dislike nothing. I bought this CD because I hadn't heard it in many years and find I have a much deeper appreciation for it now.
be it known this is a stereo mix, NOT multichannel, i personally will only buy multi channel SACDs from now on, there is no comparison , once i heard multi channel SACDs, there is no going back
