This is a later release of a very good hard rock band from the 80s. While not as good as 2nd Ave or Tough Love before it, this is still a good cd. Though targeted at teens back then, the music may be almost as timeless as the message. This is a very good Christian band. They were very popular when hair-spray metal was at its peak. The guitars are crisp and clean, with no distortion. The vocals are also crystal clear, both lead and backing. The keys provide a bit of a backdrop. This is good mid-tempo classic rock that you can sing-along to. While there is some talk of spiritual warfare, it is not the descriptive imagery that so many metal bands of the time were absorbed with. Lost Ground and Mind Games are straight-up rockers. Innocent Again and Where is the Love are ballads that work. Hold On has some catchy pop sensibilities. But, it is the mid-tempo Holy Mountain that has become a hit, a moody classic. I think if you mashed Whitecross, Allies, Shout, & Platinum Blonde you would produce a version of Idle Cure. My only critique is the song Who Cries for Me and why it was situated so early in the line-up. I also wonder how many 16-yr-olds got speeding tickets while listening to Redline!Read full review
